While they were at the Gleaners the class set up an assembly line where students measured out the dehydrated vegetables and spices into bags and placed them in barrels to be transported overseas. In the two hours they worked, they were able to make over 100 bags of soup. Each member of the class produced 240 servings of food for needy people. "We loved the experience and felt good about our contribution to this volunteer organization", reported participating students".
