Do the three acts need to be performed on the same day? It's up to you. You can spread the three kind acts over a few hours, days or months. Who do we involve? Your school/youth group may choose to engage your entire organization in the planning of the kind acts or elect a team to champion the Coin-spiracy and invite full participation along the way. Step 2 - Pass on the Coin & Pass-port
Once you have committed the third act, it's time to pass the coin and Coin-spiracy opportunity to the recipient of your kind act to another. Your UNI Coin has its own traveling document called a "pass-port", which gets passed on, along with the coin. In the pass-port there is an area for your school/youth group to stamp or write your name, location and date you joined the Coin-spiracy. There is also information on how the new Coinholder can participate in the Coin-spiracy and so it is important that you keep the coin in its pass-port when you pass it on. Once the new Coinholder receives the coin, they can embark on the Coin-spiracy adventure by in turn committing three kind acts and passing on the coin in its pass-port. Can we pass on the coin within our own school/youth group? Absolutely! You can pass on the coin from person to person, class to class - whatever inspires you. To give you an example, St. Mary's Convent High School in Mumbai, India passed the coin on 140 times within their school and recorded a journal entry for each pass! Read UNI 071's Coin Adventure Journal for details. Once we have passed on the coin, how do we keep up the excitement? There are so many ways to build on the Coin-spiracy. It really depends on your interest area. The Coin-spiracy offers a valuable venue for putting into practice lessons learned in the classroom. The coin's travels can be an exercise in:
The possibilities are endless. You may feel perfectly happy just launching the coin or you may choose to build an entire program around it. It is up to you! "No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted" - AesopStep 3 - Record a Journal EntryEach UNI Coin has its own on-line Coin Adventure Journal for tracking purposes. Once you have passed on the coin, enter the details of your kind acts in the Coin Adventure Journal corresponding to your coin's unique code. (Note to Teachers: You may wish to integrate this journal exercise into an existing lesson plan.) To access this page, just enter the three-digit code into the search below or in the left-hand margin of this web site. Then, click on the word "go!". Your school/youth group's name will appear on a new page. Click onto your name to be linked to your Coin Adventure Journal. Note: If you have passed on the coin prior to fully completing all three kind acts (for example, you performed the kind act to another but are still working on the kind act to oneself, please submit a journal entry with the details as known to date. To update your journal, email the new details to info@investinakinderworld.com. Once you have submitted a journal entry, your story will automatically appear in the Coin Adventure Journal. The journal entry will also be automatically forwarded to the email indicated on your registration form so that you can post it on your school/youth group's own web site or billboard. If you want our help or have any questions, please contact us at info@investinakinderworld.com or (604) 515-KIND (Vancouver). Step 4 - Track Your Coin's AdventuresAs the coin passes hands and new Coinholders record their kind acts in the Coin Adventure Journal, your school/youth group can follow the amazing adventures of your UNI Coin and experience the multiplier effect of kindness and its endless possibilities...
