Program Warning Fails to Deter Youth Participation
([Your City, Province or State]) - [Students at Name of School] are determined to commit acts that program founders caution can have enormous consequences. The warning: "Participation may lead to feelings of well being, joy, empowerment and heightened self-esteem. The program can also be highly contagious with lasting positive effects." The program is The Coin-spiracy and co-coin-spirators commit acts of kindness.
Founded in British Columbia, Canada, the social responsibility program has already found its way to more than 45 countries around the world through an ever-increasing number of enthusiastic youth.
[Insert your own quote: "We were thrilled to hear about The Coin-spiracy," says Principal/Teacher, "and can't wait to get our students started on this incredible journey."]
The Coin-spiracy symbol is a gold coloured coin called a UNI - short for the universal nature of kindness. A UNI is initially launched when the registered group commits three kind acts - one for self, one for the environment, and one for another. When the final kind act is completed, the recipient of the kindness receives the coin, and the cycle continues.
"As we have worked together to share our dream for a kinder world we have reaffirmed and deepened our understanding of one simple, yet beautiful and compelling truth - kindness to others is simultaneously kindness to oneself," said Sara Burdell from Harry Sayers Elementary School where UNI #001 was launched.
Testimonials on the benefits of the program have poured in since its inception. Teachers and parents report a noticeable positive change in the attitudes and behaviour of participating students, and the kind acts committed have been felt around the globe. Students have raised funds to purchase books for local learn to read programs, and sent comfort kits to children in third world countries. The first 207 UNIs launched resulted in an estimated 282,323 hours of community service and over $270,143 raised for communities in need. Imagine the future possibilities as more UNIs are launched and invested in kind acts. For more information about The Coin-spiracy, visit www.investinakinderworld.com.

About The Coin-spiracy
An initiative of the KindActs Network Association of BC, The Coin-spiracy is a youth based kindness program co-created by Nadine Marshall & Gail Smit. The program was devised as a hands-on learning experience that uncovers the exponential positive benefits of seemingly small acts of kindness.
While students may be unfamiliar with the terms viral marketing and social responsibility, the ingenious methods and ultimate rewards of the program are taking effect around the world. The Coin-spiracy involves the launch and tracking of uniquely coded kindness coin called a UNI - short for the universal nature of kindness. Each UNI Coin is "launched" by a school or youth group when they commit three kind acts: one for self, one for the environment and one for another. Then, the coin (along with a traveling document called a "pass-port") is passed on to the recipient of the kind act who in turn joins the Coin-spiracy by committing three more kind acts and passing the coin along again.
Between November 2002 and June 2007, 207 UNI Coins were launched, resulting in an estimated 282,323 hours invested in service and over $270,143 raised for communities in need locally as well as in over 45 countries around the globe. As the UNIs are passed along, kind acts will multiply as the recipients join the Coin-spiracy tradition and commit three more acts of kindness, in a perpetual cycle of giving and receiving.
In September 2006, a Coin-spiracy "How To" Kit was launched to accommodate expanding interest in the program, as well as various school/youth groups' budgets. The kit contains all the tools necessary for registered participants to launch the program and carries this warning: Participation in the Coin-spiracy may lead to feelings of well being, joy, empowerment and heightened self-esteem. The Coin-spiracy can also be highly contagious with lasting positive effects.
The program launch kit includes a UNI, pass-port, support materials and these instructions:
Step 1 - Commit 3 Kind Acts
To launch the Coin-spiracy, your school or group commits 3 kind acts: one for self, one for the environment and one for another.
Step 2 - Pass on the Coin & Pass-port
Once you have committed the last act, pass on the coin and "pass-port" to the recipient of your kind act to another. The new coin holder then joins the Coin-spiracy by in turn committing 3 kind acts and passing on the coin and pass-port.
Step 3 - Share Your Story
Record the details of your kind acts in the Coin Adventure Journal corresponding to your coin's unique code on the Coin-spiracy web site www.investinakinderworld.com.
Step 4 - Track the Coin's Adventures
Follow your coin's travels in the Coin Adventure Journal as it passes hands and changes lives around the globe.
Step 5 - Join the Story Celebration
A story celebration will be held on: November 13 - World Kindness Day and April 22 - Earth Day.
Service clubs and corporations can support the program through sponsorship. Find out how you can help.
