Record a Journal Entry

You have committed your kind acts and passed on the coin.
Now it's time to record a journal entry!

"I think one of the most important things about having a program like Coin-spiracy is that it makes it explicit. It brings out the value of kind acts that we do to a level that people understand, that they are consciously aware... Most of us do kind acts all the time, but when we realize the importance of that ripple effect and then we celebrate it, we put it in front of everybody and it enriches it...It gives people hope and inspires them to do other things..."
- Principal Steve Cairns, Morley Elementary, Burnaby

Why Recording a Journal Entry is So Important

Sharing your coin's adventures is an integral component of the Coin-spiracy. Your story helps demonstrate and affirm that kind action, through its rippling effect, can create positive global change. In order to track the rippling effect of kindness, we need to know where the coin is and what kind acts it has inspired.

What if we just committed a small act of kindness?
"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted" - Aesop
All too often people wonder how as individuals we can even begin to make a difference in this world. It can seem so overwhelming at times. The beauty and power of kindness is that even the simplest act of kindness has a profound impact. Anyone, anywhere, at any time can commit a kind act and touch someone's lives. In sharing your kind acts story, you are affirming that all acts have impact and inspiring others to take action.

"The entire Acts of Kindness experience has been rewarding for everyone involved. It has lifted spirits in what can seem like a grey world and offers hope and belongingness to all. Being a giver cannot be undertaken without being a recipient of kindness. One kind act begets another! It is contagious! None of us will ever forget the warmth of this experience."
- Nicola-Canford Elementary, Lower Nicola
